Little splurge...

The other week i did some shopping and picked up a few little treats for myself. You know how it all starts you wanted one thing but then another product just catches your eye and try and justify it as a 'need' product :) im sure we all do it!!

The first item was the Real Techniques Expert face brush. I already have the core collection and i love using all the brushes. The buffing brush and me have had abit of a love/hate relationship lately im not sure if its my foundations that just arent working for me with the brush or what. Id seen this brush be used for foundation so i thought id give it a whirl. Ive only used it a couple of times and i really do love it. My foundation goes on so effortlessly and gives a lovely finish too. The brush is so soft and at the moment this brush is the one for me. £9.99 Boots

The next thing i brought in boots is the No7 Stay Perfect foundation in the shade 'cool ivory'. I went and got matched and i thought the colour was nearly spot on i am a tad paler then the foundation but its workable. Ive used this foundation for over a week and its a lovely matte finish and the coverage is a good medium. Its a lovely liquid texture and is easily blendable and doesnt make you look cakey. Sometimes with a matte finish im worried it will look too much but this is just right. Im still planning on trying out more foundations for a dewy look so if you have any recommendation do please let me know :) £14.00 Boots

I found a little shop online that had some Illamasqua goodies that had been discontinued. It doesnt bother me when it comes to nail varnish to always have the latest colour so i chose the 'Caress' polish which is a gorgeous light bluey colour and i think its a lovely colour for the pastel trend. I always shopped online at Illamasqua and brought the 'Obsess' polish which is a beautiful fuschia colour. Looking forward to trying these both out. £13.50 Illamasqua

Lastly i brought this gorgeous lipstick from NYC in the shade 'smooch' which is a lovely coral pinky sort of colour. The formula of these are very creamy and sucha  great price for under £2.00 , Looking forward to testing this lippie out. Ive done a swatch too so you can see the colour.

A very mini splurge but will have some reviews on these products soon. Which product takes your fancy? :)

  4. Lovely collection, I think I could do with a few new foundation blending brush, I have a lot of flat brushes which I trained with but I prefere blending brushes.
