University Essentials |

University Essentials

So this week is the start of my second year at university and in a way im really excited to get some routine back into my life and my brain working even though i have loved having the summer off. This year im sure is going to be very challenging but im excited to grow in confidence and in my subject. I thought i would put a little post together for university essentials.

Organiser - An organiser is essential at university. For me my experience so far hasnt been about going out wasted every night even as tempting as it is but i really do want a good career and not waste my time or opportunities whilst being there. Within this organiser i jot down dates of all my exams and courseworks and then each week i tick off how long it is to go and when i should start revising. Sometimes i jot down things i need to remember and do by a certain date but i normally carry another jotter with me for that. I definitely think for first years it is very overwhelming having deadlines so this will make sure you on staying on track at all times.

Highlighters - How can you not resist these cute panda highlighters? im such a big kid. These are so handy to carry around with you to highlight important information and if you are like me a visual learner then colours are handy to remember certain information.

Scarf - You may be thinking why has she included a scarf as an essential? well if you are a freshers within the first couple of weeks you are bound to get the 'freshers flu' so this will be your best friend making sure you are keeping warm. Also the university i go to is extrememly cold all year round so this is a nice inbetween scarf not being too thick before bringing out the big thick ones.

Bag - An absolute necessity of course and i think a big bag will be what you need to invest in. I always carry and return library books as i live at home and also all the other things i have to carry so this is a just the right size to carry everything you need to each lecture. I also think this blue colour is a pop of colour leading up to the colder months and will be a great sturdy bag for the year too.

Iphone/ipod charger - This portable charge is a lifesaver. If you are someone who is constantly on your phone then you need this in your life. I have a similar one and it is super handy. Charging on the go ensures you are never out of battery and can be used for your ipod too if you are travelling to uni with musci on the go it makes sure you are never low on the tunes at all times.

What do you think to my university essentials? any that you would get?

My Body Skincare Routine

For many years i have never had any kind of routine when it comes to my skin, makeup or even hair but i slowly started creating my own routine that suited me. I think in my teen years i never sort of stopped and looked that straightening my hair everyday on the highest setting was going infact make a difference to my hair in years to come or plastering 2 layers of foundation on every day. Since my teen years i have learnt ALOT in terms of how to look after everything as i have to cherish what ive got and maintain otherwise im going start having problems in my older years.

As it is the winter season most people enjoy wrapping up in cosey jumpers and snuggling up next to the fire. But no matter how well you wrap up the wintry weather can still strip the skin of its natural moisture barrier causing the top layer of skin to be dry and flake off. So its really essential that you moisturise as best you can!!

My first item is the Palmers Cocoa Butter Formula with Vitamin E. It softens, smoothes and relieves dry skin. Also smoothing marks and tones skin. This is one of my favourite products that i have i absolutely can not live without it. Its quite a thick consistency with a gorgeous bit of smell too it. It does wonders on stretch marks and scars. I find that with this product my skin has more elasticity and feels much more toned. Especially on my hip area which is where im most uncomfortable about its really helped with my marks making my skin so soft and nourished.

The next item is the Sanctuary Spa Body Scrub. It has natural pumice, rejuvenating patchouli and soothing orange oil. I like to mix body scrubs so i dont stick to one for the whole month. But i picked this up and thought il give it ago as ive heard that its a good brand and also i think its quite handy for going on holiday. (Hmmmm i want to go on holiday now :(. I use this with my exfoliating gloves and you massage on wet skin then rinse it off and your skin feels so velvety. Its a lovely little scrub and does the job for me.

Being in the spa i have to have my feet looking good all the time as i walk around in flip flops or bare feet so i have to pedicure my feet twice a week. My heels are always dry from the spa so i have been using the Scholl Deep Moisturising Cream. It really softens them and gives them much more hydration leaving my feel soft, smooth and conditioned.

The last item i have saved till last to say about. OH MY GOD what a brush. The Botanics Detox Brush is my little beauty!! Cannot rave about it anymore. It invigorates and smoothes the skin and removes impurities from the body. You brush dry skin in an upwards motion toward the heart and the more you use it you can put abit more firm pressure on. It does wonders for your circulation and also cellulite and scars. Now my hip area as i have mentioned above is the most conscious part of my body. I have been using this brush for just over 2 months and the difference in the fading of the marks is AMAZING. If you use everyday before a shower or bath you will notice results.

What is one of your skincare products for the body one you cannot live without?

What's In My Bag!!

I am such a nosey person :) haha i love reading other peoples posts on whats in my bag!! So seen as i got a new bag and am trying to be REALLY organised this next semester at uni i thought i would share with you all what i have in my bag.

My bag you may have seen in a few other peoples posts floating around is the imitation of the Mulberry Bayswater bag. It is so gorgeous and has plenty of room which is ideal for my uni stuff. I got my bag from ebay for £21.99.

Inside my bag that i carry with me is my pad of paper that has 4 sections which is so handy for splitting up my different modules at uni. It keeps my notes organised and all in the same place so its very handy. I also have my 2013 diary which again has all my uni dates and deadlines also any appointments or things to remember. I used to carry scrap pieces of paper around with things to do which was very messy of me :( but now i have this pretty pink notebook where i will write my to do lists and any future blogging ideas. Obviously i have to carry around my uni ID i have it scanned for my attendance so very important i have that with me (and yes i have my photo covered up because it is AWFUL ). I HATE having pens floating around at the bottom of my bag so i just put them all in this pencil case which is like ancient!!

The next things i have in my bag is my River Island purse it has plenty of room for all my money and cards etc. I always make sure i carry around with me my River Island leopard print umbrella. At my uni in Buxton the weather is always raining ive never been at uni when it hasnt rained booo :( I have to on my my Elemis little product book just incase i need to have a quick flick of products i will be using. My headphones are one of my essential items, bus journeys can get very VERY boring without music. I have my cat phone pouch for my iphone and my mittens and knitted headband. I dont have a hat head whatever that is i dont have. Hats dont suit me at all. (Maybe i have a weird shaped head haha) i dont know but i suffer really bad with earache when its cold so this little beauty protects my ears :)

Inside my Estee Lauder makeup bag i have a few of my mini essentials- my house keys with my loveable pig key sleeve :) LOVE!! Vaseline for when my lips are chapped. Tissues and olbas inhaler for colds. Chewing gums are self explatory!! I have to carry hand gel with me incase anywhere doesnt have soap or im feeling abit germy. My little nivea roll on deodrant just to freshen up!!

Whats in your bags?
