Review: Tresemme Platinum 60 Second Treatment Shot & Dove Hair Nourishing Oil Leave In Spray |

I am not loyal to just one haircare brand when it comes to looking after my hair and im always on the lookout for products to improve my hair. I have a confession..... only in the past year or so have i started to use hair masks and oils. As before i used to just use shampoo and conditioner occasionally and that was it. Thinking back now my hair was really bad and so dry from all the overheating of using heated tools.

I have seen a drastic difference in my hair and also from using these new products too. The first is the Tresemme Platinum Strength 60 Second Shot - At £1.49 for a 15ml tube that you could two uses out of is brilliant. The texture is quite thick and creamy. I applied this treatment after shampooing my hair as i didnt apply a conditioner because i knew that this would be more of a deeper thorough treatment. After i left my hair to dry out naturally which is quite often lately my hair felt amazing. So silky soft and full of bounce and life. My recently coloured hair was gleaming and looked so glossy. This product does contain ingredients that help to restore your hair and helping to protect against future damage. It doesnt way your hair down either and is a quick fix to help restore your hair back.

Have you tried either of these products?

The Dove Hair Nourishing Oil Leave in Spray is one of the brands i have never tried before and was really intrigued to see the results. This formula works to smooth and seal the hair with ingredients such as argan oil, almond and cocunut but also to restore moisture. Its a lightweight spray with a gorgeous holiday like smell to it. I have applied it with wet and dry hair, both times my hair felt so soft and left with no frizz whatsoever. Doesnt leave my hair with a greasy residue nor does it weight my hair down. I love the way it makes my hair feel as though its packed full of more moisture and the softness it creates to my hair. Im so glad that i brought this product as i think in months to come it will really help my hair in getting stronger too.

Review: Champneys Distant Shores Mini Body Butter & Sanctuary Spa Salt Scrub Sachet |

I have been really excited to give my review on these two products as they are new things i have loved trying out and have made me eager to try alot more from both brands. As a lover and degree spa student i love nothing more then testing out spa products whether they are high end or low end anything that can recreate the spa at home and give me a thorough pamper.

Champneys Spa is one of the best established spa in the uk. I would of loved to train at this spa as i think its absolutely beautiful. The Champneys products always look so luxurious and at a reasonable price too so i could wait to try out one of the mini body butters. I decided to go for a small body butter just incase i didnt like it. First of all the Distant Shores Mini Body butter is packed full of grapefruit, lemon, orange peel and cedarwood oils with nourishing mango and passion fruit. Its such a fruity fresh smell but not too overpowering. The texture of the body butter is beautiful it feels so bouncy to touch and is dreamy to apply. It gives a lovely hydrating feel to the skin and with the fruity smell still lingering around. Its quite a thick consistency but not compared to my other body butters so it would still be a nice one to use with the colder months coming up. Also a big plus is it doesnt leave a stick residue and dries within a few minutes. This is love at first sight and im so excited to try more from the distant shore range too as the smell is a winner.

Before i applied the dreamy body butter i wacked open a sachet i picked up on my recent trip boots  - The Sanctuary Salt Scub. Ive tried the Sanctuary Body scrub which is a very light exfoliation and as i was after something abit more scrubby. It has sumptuous blends of skin polishing Dead Sea Salts wrapped in moisturising Coconut, Jojoba and Sweet Almond Oils. When applying the salts are quite abrassive on the skin but not too rough. Sweeping them in a massaging movement towards the heart it provides a thorough exoliation that is really relaxing. Once the salts are rinsed off you are left with an oil like moisture on the skin. My skin felt so so soft and maybe the softer its ever been and it really did feel like a mini spa experience. This would be perfect if you are after a really thorough exfoliation if you dont do it regular or maybe again in the winter months with drier skin.

Both of these products are heavenly to use and i will be looking at other products that provide a spa like feel at home and abit of luxury. Picking up small travel sizes have really been ideal to test out and experiment and i was not left disappointed!!

Have you tried either of these brands?

Review: Area H20 Medium Water Shampoo & Conditioner For Coloured Hair |

For me haircare is one of those things that is trial and error. Finding the right products that dont weigh down my hair, gives my hair good moisture and also moisture. When i won a haircare set on twitter i was very excited to be trying something completely different.

Area H20 is a brand that formulates shampoo and conditioner against the water type in your area. Water varies in the country and where you live and these three main water areas are soft, medium and hard. The main difference between these water areas is the mineral properties and from these is how it can affect your hair. For example if you used your regular hair mask but wash it at your friends house instead of your own it could take longer to wash out or not have the same affect then washing it at your own house. All types of water have metal ions in them and these react with our haircare products in the shower to form mineral deposits that can cling onto the hair. The science behind the brand is to combat the water effects in the different water areas.

The brand makes shampoo and conditioners for all the named water types, soft, water and hard and within these ranges also for normal/fine hair and coloured. I think that this is a great idea especially for people who are travelling to different water areas on a regular basis.Using the two products you have to be quite sparingly as they are very concentrated. I found that the shampoo creates a good enough lather and really cleans my hair throughly. It didnt overly dry my hair neither and it created a lovely shine too.

Ive found that using both of these products that my hair was slightly more softer and i would recommend them to anyone who is always on the travel. You can buy them at look fantastic

Would you try these out?

Review: Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti Blemish Masque |

I have been intrigued with Aesop products for a few months now and i have a couple of them on my wishlist. I really like products that contain natural ingredients too as i find that my skin generally really thrives from them. Stress, diet and hormones can really play up your skin resulting in pesky blemishes. At the moment as i am trying out new products i do tend to slightly break out if a product doesnt agree with me and it does get me down so i thought i would try the Aesop Chamomile Concentrate Anti-Blemish Masque. Its a clay based masque packed with anti-bacterial Tea Tree Leaf, Rosemary, Sage, Lemon Peel, soothing Chamomile Bud and Evening Primrose extracts. These ingredients help to reduces inflammation & draws out impurities.

The texture of the masque is lovely and not overly thick. It actually surprised me after putting it in my drawers how it actually stays cold and it feels really cooling on the skin too. I love the scent even though Chamomile does remind me when i had chickenpox when i was younger and i had to have this everywhere to stop me from itching!! anyway..... I found this masque to be exactly what i need in my life. It sorts out those pesky under the skin spots amazingly well. Even thought the masque doesnt cure blemishes it sure as hell does a good job of making them go away and heal alot quicker. It doesnt strip the skin or leave it feeling tight which i really love about this product. Ive applied it as an all over masque and also a directed spot treatment. A couple of the days where im at home and having a pj day then il just dot this on any blemishes then leave for a few hours.

Even thought the price tag is pretty out there its one of those products that is an investment piece in my eyes. I think it will last a good while and i have been using it constantly and have only scrapped abit of the top. If you are after a spot treatment that really calms them down and reduces them in size then this is something you should try.

Have you tried Aesop products before?

Review: Origins Make A Difference Plus+ Rejuvenating Treatment |

I love Origins as a brand for skincare it delivers exceptional results and im always eyeing up the latest products. I do think that paying that little bit more and in this case with Origins it is really worth it. The Origins Make a Difference Plus Rejuvenating Treatment is something i have read many reviews on blogs and alot of people said it really helps with blemishes etc so i thought i would take the plunge and get this product,

The rejuvenating treatment contains natures rose of jericho lychee and watermelon which helps to add moisture to dry, dehydrated skin and gives a instant boots to help keep the skin hydrated all day. This product is best for oily/combination skin.

Its a gel like texture which is oil free so doesnt clog the pores in any way. The smell of it is really floral infact quite warming. The product gides and skins into the skin almost immediately and feels comfortable leaving my skin plump and soft. Origins never fail to deliver and my skin loves their products. It helps with blemishes to keep them moisturised and in return they disappear and heal alot quicker. Since the product is a gel on a night i like to apply something abit thicker on top of my skin just to give my skin a good boost of moisture.

This product could be holy grail in a few months time. So far the difference in my skin has been more plumped and less blemishes. Also with the blemishes i do have they seem to heal alot quicker and my skin doesnt look as dull or congested aswell. So in my eyes its a winner and next on my list is the rejuvenating moisturiser.

What Origins products do you like to use?

Review: Vaseline Spray & Go Body Moisturiser Cocoa Radiant |

With having this heatwave in the UK in the last month which has been amazing getting some rays in the garden or as i like to call them 'garden days' moisturising just hasnt been at the top of my list. Im normally fairly good with moisturising not every day but at least the bare minimum of once a week. Seen as i tried the Nivea in shower moisturiser and have really enjoyed that i thought i would give this ago - The Vaseline Spray and Go Body Moisturiser - this appeals to my laziness and has been a god send in the heat when im not wanting that horrible sticky feeling.

As the product contains cocoa butter its very hydrating for the skin and leaves it feel ever so soft and supple. I love the spray nozzle applicator which is a no fuss way of applying it so easily too. Spraying this product onto my skin is heaven feels so light on the skin and the drying time is less then 2 minutes (and i timed this to be exact for you all)!! If you arent a fan of cocoa butter when its quite heavy then i wouldnt go for it but i do really like the scent. I think this would be perfect for travelling on holiday as its so lightweight and easy to store too.

The only downside is not knowing when the product is going to run out with it being in a can form. But it does have an advantage of being really easy to apply. For right now this does the right job for me and i think in the winter i do need something that is alot richer and creamier.

Would you try this product? Its perfect for the summer months!!

Review: Shu Uemura Anti/Oxi Cleansing Oil |

Being a skincare lover/obsesser means that any chance of trying out new skincare then i will jump at it. The main reason why i love skincare so much is how much of a difference using the right products for you skin can make. Lately alot of my purchases have been skincare products and with all of these products they have helped me gain more confidence in my skin in such a short period of time. I was recently contacted by SHU UEMURA to try out the new addition to the cleanser aisle which is the Anti/Oxi skin refining cleansing oil*.

Research has shown that harmful pollutants can elevate stress which then results in dull/lack lustre skin. People who live in cities with alot of pollution are more likely to have signs of stress in the appearance of the skin and this is where this cleansing oil comes to the rescue. Alot of the times you may not even notice that your skin is starting to becoming dull, if you are like me then i am always conscious on what is going on with my skin.

This cleansing oil is beautiful and actually is the first one ive ever used. The thought of putting an oil onto my already oily face did sort of put me of for a couple of days but after i got over the initial first reaction phase it became more and more enjoyable. The slight fragrance of blended oils gives a much needed relaxing experience when massaging into the skin. Ive found it to be a lovely therapuetic time on a night and has infact made me sleep better. It removes makefup effortlessly and i feel that its giving my skin a thorough cleanse too. My pores are less noticeable from using this after first use and my skin has a slight glow to it. My skin looks so much more healthier and alot more refined too.

If you are after trying a cleansing oil or are wanting a more 'glow' to your skin then i would highly recommend this product. Really interested to try more from the brand as the quality from this cleansing oil has been nothing but luxurious :)

Window shopping online...

My shopping centre isnt exactly the best place for a girl who likes a good splurge on clothes. Dont get me wrong i arent complaining because we do have a few of the highstreet brands so its better then nothing eh? About 70% of my shopping will be done online nowadays just for the simple fact i like options, its quicker and also i like to find unique pieces. This post is just a little review and of my opinion on the two online shops that have caught my eye.....

FD Avenue is an online fashion clothing store which brings the latest trends and up to date fashions at affordable price tags. Each week beautiful new styles are added allowing much more variety. The new in section of the website consists of all the latest trends for the season.

Image 1Image 1

The couple of pieces that have caught my eye in this section is the gorgeous high wasted satin skater skirt for £14.99. This price is half the fraction that i have seen on the high street so its really affordable. The other piece that has caught my eye is this gorgeous lace back cap sleeve maxi dress in coral for £17.99. Now if i was abit taller then i think this would be my fave piece of item for spring/summer its so versatile and could be dressed up or down.

This website also has the usual sections like dresses, skirts, tops etc but what caught my eye is that they have a small selection of fancy dress items which i think is really unique. Also they do nightwear with cute thermal socks which if they have pjs in then i would be straight on buying them :)

I love also that they have a section for curvy people which i havent seen alot of online which i think is so good as a shop just to sell to a variety of shapes and sizes so a big thumbs up for that!! They also have a section with the latest trends and the clothes that are with that trend. So if you are after a certain look that is in for that particular season then you can just go straight to what you want and the selection is there for you.

Overall this shop has a massive appeal to myself and will be purchasing some items very soon :)

Also if you use my exclusive code EMILY20 you can get 20% off your order!!

You can visit there website at: www.fdavenue.com/

The next shop is Fashion Union. Now ive only recently discovered this shop from watching chasing with the Saturdays as they are the sponsors.

Fashion union is on trend and fresh appealing to all fashion lovers out there. They provide the latest catwalk trends and celebrity looks.

First off this shop sells a size 6 yayyyyyyy!! Im like a 6/8 so depending on the style and of course different shops have different feels of a size. So i was over the moon when i saw that they stocked 6s especially if im after a snug fit and i am a tiny dot!!

This leopard print midi dress is right up my street. If youve noticed from my blog background i love leopard print J This little beauty is priced at £15.00 which i think is such a good price for the style and pattern. This is a dress that could be dressed up or down but i think id wear it more on  a night time. Midi dresses are so good at being a staple in your wardrobe as being able to dress up or down looking good whatever the occasion.

Leopard Animal Print Midi DressBlack Stripe Peplum Dress

I love this black stripe peplum dress its flattering for all shapes and is bang on trend. At £20.00 its a good price for a stunning dress that could be glammed  up with a few accessories.

One of my fave pages from this website is the accessories bags/purses. Such a good selection and variety of the latest trends and styles. Of course its abit more pricey then your average primark but for the quality and style i find it such a good price.

Im looking forward till i get paid to have a little splurge at this shop ready for spring and summer!!

You can find them at: www.fashionunion.com/

Have any of you lovelies brought anything from these two shops? tell me what you have brought or what you are liking from the sites? :)
