The Winning Skincare Combo - Lush Ultrabland Cleanser And Tea Tree Toner Water |

I am a massive skincare lover and i find that if you have look after your skin your makeup seems to go on alot better. The past year i have developed my love for skincare by really understanding what it needs on a day to day basis. Listening to my skin and switching up what it needs whether one day its lacking dehydration or looking dull. My skincare bundle of joy is ever expanding and i LOVE IT. Recently my blemish prone skin has been an absolute nightmare and i ended up with 5 sore under the skin spots all around my chin area at the same time (Eurghhh ) and that made me stop and think is it my diet or stress or hormones?!! I have always had blemish prone skin since i was a teen and it always felt to me so bad and horrible. Now its gone back to the stage of being unruly and having 20 spots at one time (No Joke!! ) I have found recently with my change in diet and exercise they have decreased. After reading a couple of blog posts i found this combo - Lush Tea Tree Water Toner and Lush Ultrabland Cleanser.

I have to admit i have never tried Lush's cleansers or toners before only the masks and i absolutely love the masks they have. So i thought why not try something different.

I opted for the 45g Ultrabland Cleanser which is the smaller size of the two. Its a rich oily cleansing cream that is suitable for all skin types and softens the skin whilst giving the skin a good clean out. Based on an ancient beeswax and vegetable oil formula from the times of Galen, the Greek physician and philosopher, this product will lift dirt, grease and make up from the skin, without stripping away your skin's natural defences.

Ingredients - Almond Oil, Rose Water, Beeswax, Honey, Fresh Iris Extract, Glycerine, Rose Absolute, Tincture of Benzoin, Methylparaben, Propylparaben.

This cleanser is quite literally 'bland' as its leaves the skin with no cause of irritation, reaction or puffiness so it works with every skin type too. Lush recommend for problem skins stopping using all regular skincare products and using nothing but the ultrabland for one month to bring skin back into balance.

Working alongside the cleanser is the Lush Tea Tree Water. I brought the 250g which is the bigger bottle of the two as i thought the smaller one wouldnt last me that long. The Tea Tree water is a wonder product for anyone with oily or spot prone skin as it has antibacterial and antiseptic ingredients. Its a gentle toner that does the job.

Ingredients - Tea Tree Water, Grapefruit Water, Juniperberry Water, *Limonene, Perfume, Methylparaben

The combo - Overall i think that the two products work so well together. The cleanser is really gentle and so effective in getting the days grim away from the skin and really has helped to improve my skin alot. I was using both of these products together twice a day for the whole month as suggested and my spots cleared within a couple of days when they appeared. I used the tea tree water on a cotton pad to swipe away the cleanser as advised and it worked really well together. I felt like my skin was being properly cleanser. I added a moisturiser in to my routine and only the every other week did i exfoliate as i didnt want to strip the skin completely as i wanted the cleanser to be able to do its job in balancing my skin. I have repurchased my second tub as the first tub lasted a whole month. I think this cleanser and toner is something i will continue to use in my routine but still being able to switch things up. I really recommend these two together if your skin is breaking out and you are wanting a gentle solution to help clear them without being too harsh on the skin.

Have you tried this combo? Would you try it?

Review: Liz Earle Skincare Products

Having combination skin i find it very annoying to get the balance of right products to use on my face as part of it is really dry and then other parts will be oily/spotty. As you may have read in my grease lighting post i have tried so many spot products for the face numerous times and also for dry skin. To be honest it probably didn’t help that i didn’t really know what my skin type was as it just had bursts of being weird!! I had heard so many reviews on the cleanse and polish and read that it had won awards so i thought that the product must be amazing.
I brought the cleanse and polish starter kit a couple of months back. I loved that it came in a case with the product, 2 muslin cloths and a easy to use guide on how to apply the product. The smell of t is gorgeous and can definitely smell the eucalyptus oil the most from it. It has naturally active ingredients -  Rosemary, Chamomile, cocoa butter and eucalyptus essential oil.
“Cleanses and gently exfoliates for smoother, clearer skin”.
The product is a rich concentrated cream and you apply it to your dry face gently massaging it to purify and stimulate the circulation. You then fill your basin with hand hot water and place your muslin cloth in the water. You then wring the cloth and gently polish off the cream. Finish by splashing cold water onto your face.

My opinion: I absolutely love this product and i don’t know how i have not noticed it. It has completely changed my skin and my routine making it healthier and clearer. Using morning and night i feel as though my face is thoroughly getting rid of all the grime on my face and leaves my skin feeling so soft ( which makes me want to touch my face all the time haha). I honestly cannot now see my skincare routine without this product. It feels really fresh and hydrating.

As a complimentary free sample with the starter kit i also received the Instant Boost Skin Tonic which was a real bonus. It contains organic aloe vera, calendura, rose-scented geranium, cucumber and natural vitamin E.

“Revitalises, soothes and tones for instant radiance”.

You pour the toner onto cotton wool and then gently sweeping over the face and neck after cleansing. I really do love the toner it works amazing with the cleanse and polish. Your skin feels so much better and you can see it works to get rid of all the last bits of makeup. I have just ordered the full size bottle of the toner yayyyy!! Again this is another essential item that is now firmly staying in my skincare regime. It works wonders on my skin and i feel that bit more confident about my face.

After using the cleanse and polish and toner i thought that i would do the online skin consultation on the liz earle website. It provided me with all the products that would suit my combination skin.
I then ordered the try me size of the skin repair moisturiser for normal/combination skin. I am really fussy with moisturisers it has to not be too greasy or too thin so anything in the middle is a winner. This little beauty contains borage, avocado oil, Echinacea, beta-carotene and natural vitamin e.

“Intensely moisturises, smoothes and protects”.
It is a light consistency and contains the natural antioxidants to replace lost moisture and help protect the skin. This moisturiser is great for my skin. Makes my skin feel hydryated and works well with parts of my skin that is dry. Its works really well with the cleanser and toner as a three some. Cannot fault this moisturiser at all. Its the best moisturiser i have tried and loved instantly.
So whilst i was online with my order i thought again i will order the try me size of the deep cleansing mask and gentle face exfoliator. I think that this is a great option for people to try out the products instead of maybe feeling hesitant to have wasted money if they don’t like the product. Even for the try me size they are like just a little over £5 so its not alot of money.

The deep cleansing mask contains green clay, manuka, honey, propous and rose scented geranium. It has quite a thick consistency that comes out green so it looks like you have camoflauge paint on haha. It also comes with 2 deep cleansing sponges which are a bonus for wiping away the mask making it much more easy. You leave the mask on for 5-10 mins. I love this mask and i am so glad that i have tried it out. My skin felt so smooth afterwards and my oiliness had completely vanished. Its nice to use this product say once a week for a treat to your skin

The last product that i have been using is the gentle face exfoliator. This contains eucalyptus, cocoa butter and fine jojora beads. “Gently sloughs away dead skin cells and impurities”.  I hate when my skin looks and feel tired. You know when it just looks really puffy and dehydrated?. This little beauty is one of my favourite products i have tried. You use it whenever your skin feels dull and it leaves it looking clear and radiant. After using this product my skin felt so much better and looking to have its shine back. I have been using it twice a week at the moment as my skin has been awful due to me feeling really run down.

Overall i cannot fault the liz earle skincare products. Every single one of them has worked wonders on my skin and i have loved using. I feel much more confident in my skin knowing that it looks and feels more nourished, hydrated and healthy!!

Have you tried any of the Liz Earle skincare products?

New Products Review

In the past month i have been trying out new products for my skin regime. As i have combination skin i really struggle in getting the right balance in products which some tend to leave me really dry or oily.

In my skincare routine at the moment i use two different sorts of cleansers and toners one for day and one for night (might sound abit odd) but for my skin it really works wonders!!

I use the fabulous and most raved about the Liz Earle Cleanse and Polish which to be honest if i did a post on my opinions it would be so long i just cannot express my happiness with the product but moving on to the actual point of this post.

I recently found this cleanser which is the Vichy Purette Thermale Intensive Cleansing Milk. Now if you are anything like me when you have those 'slob' days and you just want to relax and not do anything all day then this is perfect for you!! With this product it is so quick and simple you do not need to wash you face before or after you simply apply the product whilst massaging it on the face and then grab a cotton pad and wipe it off. It definitely has a light velvety texture which leaves your skin looking healthy and glowing. It has a shea plant extract which acts with a magnet to impurities. This is perfect for normal/combination skin and they also the exact same product for dry skin. The cost of this is pricey but i highly recommend that you do get your moneys worth.

The next product that i have been thoroughly enjoying using is the Botanics 100% Organic Rosewater Toning Spritz. It leaves your skin feeling plump and hydrated and i particular like that it has a nozzle so it is great just to grab a quick spray to refresh your face and would be great for when it hits summer!! It smells really fragrant from the scent of Demask Rose. All you do is close your eyes, spray onto your face after cleasing and then remove with cotton pads. Such a simple product and great value for money. It does the job so again i would recommend this product.

The last product that i have been loving and have never seen it in the beauty world is the Moa The Mini Green Balm. This little beauty that i like to call the 'magic cream'. For me i use this for when i have blemishes and it soothes the redness. It was absolutely AMAZING for when i had one of them under the skin spots where its just a hard lump is anyone has had them? they are the worst ones. I put this magic cream on everyday for like 3 days and it totally vanished saved me getting annoyed haha!! It has so many uses to name a few...... Treat cold sores and chapped lips ,Calm sun burn, Help to heal minor cuts ,Insect bits and stings. Wow!! i have never seen a product that has so many uses so now you many get why i call it the magic cream. Each pot of Móa The Green Balm is crammed with organic yarrow (Achillea millefolium) a herb renowned for its nourishing and healing properties. Combined with tea tree oil, nature's powerful antiseptic, yarrow creates an unrivalled healing synergy with endless therapeutic properties. Finally beeswax, coconut, sweet almond and soya bean oils help to soften, nourish and protect the skin.

Any of you going to try these products mentioned?
