October Favourites |
This month has been so hectic, busy and just non stop. I havent had much time to discover new products but ive been really into my skincare surprise surprise. Only four products this month that i have been using every single day non stop.
First up is the Maxfactor Miracle Touch Creamy Blush in Soft Cardinal. Ive done a small post on this cream blusher and i absolutely adore it. The texture, the long lasting of it and the colour is everything that i want in a blusher. Its a perfect colour for this season and its a colour i think that really suits me. It also so ideal to carry on the go as its teeny tiny so cute!!
The three skincare products that i have been using everyday - The Trilogy Rosehip Oil which i have spoken about before is amazing. The oil is lightweight and besides reducing scarring it also seems to help with blemishes/blackheads whilst providing some adding moisture to the skin. Im over halfway with using it and its lasting pretty well so its really worth the money. I do notice a difference when i dont use this product especially now with the weather being alot colder and harsher on the skin.
Next is the Effaclar Mat which again ive spoken about. Its the one moisturiser i think oily/combination types need. It instantly absorbs into the skin so you cant even tell you have it on your skin as its so silky feeling too. It helps keep oil and shine at bay whilst slightly minimising pores. Its a 40ml tube and i can tell that i will need to repurchase again which i happily will. It has to be my FAVOURITE ever moisturiser ive tried. Cant rave about it enough!!
Lastly is a new discovery from Bioderma Sebium range which is the serum. I apply the serum every other night after cleansing and just leave it on its own to work its magic. When i wake up in the morning any blemishes are significantly reduced and the texture of my skin is so even and smooth. I would say that this is more like using a spot treatment which im actually using this more then my other treatments as the results are so good.

September Favourites |
This month has been pretty hectic and i have been trying to keep everything as simple and as quick as possible. Its been hard to keep up with everything going on as it happens all at once. I have been loving experimenting more with my eyeshadow as normally i am a very plain jane kinda girl and im really wanting to try more eye looks. So keep your eyes peeled i may do some eye look posts very soon.
My skin has not been at its best this month and i panic so much that it will never settle but i have my two trust saviours as always. The first is La Roche Posay Serozinc which i have mentioned before here and i love that its a calming toner/spritz. It helps to settle the skin whilst providing a dose of hydration too. I wont go on too much about this product but its a firm favourite in my skincare routine.
The next skincare hero has been the Lush TeaTree Water. Again it really soothes breakouts and redness which is something i battle with daily. Its so affordable and it can last a good couple of months. Again i have a full review on this here.
A favourite of mine from the beginning of the year and has got back into my daily makeup is the MUA Heaven and Earth Palette mentioned here. So many gorgeous smokey, dramatic colours that can easily change your makeup look. The quality of these eyeshadows are amazingly pigmented. I am so happy that i have rediscovered my love for this palette and its perfect for the lovely autumn months we are
having. To team up with this palette i have been using the ELF Brightening Eyeliner in the shade 'Coffee'. With having blue eyes i find that the brown slightly smoked out eyeliner really makes them stand out and creates a more subtle warmth to my eye look. The palette and the eyeliner are the dream team as of late.
The last product that has been a love of mine is the 17 Blusher in the shade 'First Flush'. I have been trying to rattle my memory to when i brought this but i honestly cannot remember. Buts its a gorgeous deep peachy pink colour and you only need the slightest bit to sweep on the apples of your cheek to create a more deeper natural colour. The colour is super gorgeous and i have been loving wearing this with just a simple eyelook just mascara on. I am so impressed with how pigmented the colour is and also how long it actually lasts. My blusher addiction did fade for awhile after having a big splurge but after reintroducing this it may well give me an excuse to buy more from 17.

August Favourites |
Again i cannot believe August has been and gone, and its like only four months till christmas which is crazy. This month has been lovely with birthday celebrations and catching up with old friends. Its sad to think that summer is almost over now. This month i have been keeping things very simple. My skin has been going crazy with dryness and sensitivity which is something im not used to.
To start with the Liz Earle Instant Boost Skin Tonic has been a complete life saviour with my skin. Normally i would turn to my trusty lush tea tree water but this toner has really helped to soothe my sensitive red patches on my face and also help to inject more moisture into my skin. I think that a toner is a very skipped out step in skincare routines and even though it may seem like it doesnt instantly see results its an added step to sort out your skin. Again its packed full if gentle ingredients like aloe vera, cucumber and chamomile. If you are looking for added moisture or even if you have sensitive skin then this is a great addition for your skin.
Aswell as my face been crazily dry my hands have been horrible - its reminded me of how my hands go in the colder months where i have to keep applying hand cream twice a day. The Garnier 7 days daily hand cream has been just what i needed. Its quite a thick consistency but sinks into the skin quickly and doesnt leave that tacky feeling. Ive been using it every morning and evening which my hands are thankful for. The past couple of days they have been so much better hydrated and no horrible dryness. Its super cheap at £2.99 and well be a winner in the winter colder months too.
I recently had my hair cut and instead of having my layers cut back in i decided not to as i wanted my hair to feel alot thicker instead of being overly choppy. Having fine hair i always want lots of volume to create thickness at the roots and the crown of my hair. The Charles Worthington Salon At Home Volume Shampoo is amazing. Its enriched with collagen which boosts the hair to be more bouncy and fuller. It smells divine and makes your hair appear to have way more volume. Once ive washed my hair i then blowdry my hair upside down to give extra volume. The shampoo also gives shine and gloss to the hair too. At £5.99 its a good price for giving your hair some much needed volume.
For my lips i have been using two products religiously this month. The first being one of the Maybelline Baby Lips which is the clear mint lipbalm. I can totally see the hype surrounding these lipbalms and ive been using this since my american haul earlier this year. The lipbalm is moisturising and hydrating on the lips that leaves them plump and soft. It also contains a spf 20 which is impressive for the hotter days. (hate having burnt lips) and the other product which also does the same job is the Nivea Pearly Shine Lip Balm - this leaves a sheer pink tint to the lips again leaving the lips so hydrated. I have been using this everyday as just an added bit of colour to my everyday makeup too.

July Favourites |
The first product that has been my skin savious has been the Vaseline Spray & Go Moisturiser which i mentioned in my last post. I love the smell of cocoa butter and dries within a couple of minutes leaving you not with that sticky feeling whatsoever. Its perfect for when you are feeling lazy and the application with the nozzle is practical and easy. For me this is a big winner. Well done Vaseline for bringing out a fab product!!
La Roche Posay is a brand that i have never tried before but have read many reviews on their range of products. The Serozinc has a slight hype surrounding it from Caroline Hirons when she talked about it on the Body Talk Channel. Its basically a toner that helps to soothe skin irritations and is great at locking in extra moisture for that second cleanse. I think that this is a lovely product and has been another favourite for being in the hot weather. Its very refreshing and has no scent at all. Its calmed down any redness and even my spots have calmed down aswell. Link to ebay seller.
My hair is very fine and i mean really really. I dont have much hair naturally as when i was younger in my teens i went crazy with straightners and curlers everyday non stop. I long for that bit of oomph in my hair. The Tresemme Texture Spray has been a complete god send. Its a spray that that leaves your hair with beach babe hair and abit of volume at the roots aswell. I concentrate mainly at the roots where i need the volume the most and i love the result.
The Origins Zero Oil Cleanser has been a firm winner lately. Even though its a gel cleanser which you are supposedly meant to stay away from its completely opposite. Packed full of natural goodness and the minty fresh scent its made a big difference to my blemish prone skin. Its combatted oilness and unblocked my pores. Love using this and will continue to have alot of love for this product.
The last item is the Bourjois 1 Second polish in Melon. Such a beautiful pinky peach colour and i love the gel finish. Its a gorgeous spring/summer shade and goes well with lots of outfits. I posted about this too if you want to see the picture of it on my nails.
